2014 Website Awards: Voting Overview

Voting is now closed.

We used the Borda Count type of voting for the 2014 Website Awards. Voters ranked the choices by adding them to a list, in rank order. The Borda count determines the outcome of a debate or the winner of an election by giving each candidate, for each ballot, a number of points corresponding to the number of candidates ranked lower. Once all votes have been counted the option or candidate with the most points is the winner.

We put all the websites into one category, Overall Best Website.

Each nominated website has its own page with the comments that were submitted along with the nominations. See the menu in the right sidebar for links to each nominee so you can read more about each.

You can add Comments to each Nominee page if you want to add a note about why you voted the way you did.

Here is how the nominations went. Again, all seven websites are pooled into one category for voting.
